It’s 10:30 on Friday night and Kory and Kaleb just sat down to their first dinner in our new house! Kory wasn’t too happy about cooking dinner at the end of a long day, but I don’t know how to make Fiskeboller (fish balls) and Kaleb really wanted some for a celebratory meal. Food is supposed to taste better when it’s cooked with love, so I’m steering clear of this meal….
Kory met with the attorney today and signed an agreement for our living arrangement. He will give us 30 days notice if someone wants to buy this place, so I’m now praying no one buys it for at least a year as this moving business is a lot of work. But I have to say, I’ve never experienced so much family support in all my life. Axel and Kari loaned us a big bed, lamps, rugs, living room chairs, footstools and an office desk and chair, bookshelves, washer AND dryer, microwave, night stands, TV, heaters, stereo (and temporary linens until our boxes arrive). Odd and Turid loaned Kaleb a bed and a few small tables and Rune gave us a kitchen table, chairs, couches and coffee table. We are set! I wouldn’t have needed to ship any kitchen items as Axel and Kari have everything times two or three, but who knew? And things went so fast with so many hands participating. Hallelujah! It’s good to get the big stuff in before our boxes get here but it’s kind of like camping right now as we have minimal supplies. But this house is cozy and quiet and just downright “dreamy” as my friend, Joni, would say. Thank you, Jesus!
